Accusonus announces drumatom v2.0 and the companion drumatom plugin Player software for reducing microphone leakage in drum redordings

The major update delivers new features at a reduced price, and a new plugin companion offers in-DAW bleed reduction control for the first time

February 24, 2015 – Today Accusonus announces drumatom V2.0, a major update to the world's first microphone leakage suppression tool for multitrack drum recordings. The revolutionary drumatom application reduces cross-microphone bleed from recorded drum kits without altering the tone of the source. Drumatom even reduces microphone bleed from simultaneous drum hits, rather than just the tail. That's possible because drumatom V2.0 filters out bleed based on tonal content, rather than just amplitude. That means the program can retain necessary low-level signals—such as snare drum ghost notes—while significantly reducing microphone bleed from other drum tracks.

"By taking into account our users' amazing feedback, we are thrilled to present a hugely improved drumatom and the brand-new drumatom player for in-DAW leakage adjustments. Faster analysis and better workflow are only some of drumatom 2.0's enhancements" said Alexandros Tsilfidis, co-founder and CEO of the award-winning Greek digital audio start-up accusonus. "Our vision is that drumatom becomes the industry standard that allows every producer to mix awesome authentic drums, and we are confident that version 2.0 achieves that!"

With this update, the drumatom Player plugin companion to the standalone drumatom application is available for the first time. The plugin provides users with inmix monitoring of drumatom V2.0's processing, as well as the ability to adjust leakage from within their DAW sessions. The drumatom Player plugin is available in VST, AU and AAX formats.

"Drumatom is a truly magical tool" exclaimed Emre Ramazanoglu, a composer/producer/engineer who has mixed recent tracks for Sia, Alex Clare and Sky Ferreira. "It lets me process drums in ways I've never been able to before, so I can go for more adventurous microphone techniques, as well as finish and deliver projects faster and better than ever before. It's an essential tool for me now."

Available now for Mac and Windows platforms, drumatom 2.0 delivers its impressive new features at a reduced price of $299, down $100 from its previous cost of $399. The drumatom V2.0 application is a free upgrade to existing drumatom users. The drumatom player plugin is priced at $99.
